Controller Essentials: Key Ignition w Voltmeter (Regular or PreWired)

5/28/26:  added the Prewired with Adapter option--initial batch only supports 72340 or larger controllers due to large 8mm ID ring terminals.  Select this option for the following reasons:  1) your pink wire no longer powers the key voltmeter (blown internal fuse) or 2) you plan to run a display & lighting (pink wire cannot fully support the increased power demand) or 3) your high powered controller uses 3 Furukawa connectors and does not have the Red Connector with pink & black wires.  The adapter plugs into the 2 pin connector of the key voltmeter and converts it to a positive & negative ring terminal that you install direct to the respective controller terminals (place on top of the battery leads, then screw down the lugs tight).

Green LED Display

Green (or White):  Battery Pos (+) 

Red:  Controller Power Lock Input

Black:  Negative

Note:  DISCONNECT battery when wiring up the key voltmeter.  PreWired Key Voltmeter--plug two pin voltmeter plug into the two pin RED connector on FarDriver harness.  The one pin connector goes to the one pin ORANGE key lock wire on FarDriver.  

Prewired items only work with the normal FD harness.  The Kunray controllers alter the normal FD harness.  You will need to depin the orange wire from their 2 pin connector and wire it direct to the red wire from the key voltmeter.
